The above video contains footage of three different types of "Witnessed Scatterings." At the beginning of the video, you are witnessing a scattering over the Santa Ana Mountains as viewed from O'Neill Park in Trabuco Canyon, California. The second sequence takes place near Dana Point, California and is being witnessed from a bluff near Salt Creek Park. The last sequence takes place along the Southern California coast near Palos Verdes. In this sequence, the scattering aircraft is witnessed from an accompanying aircraft.
The video below highlights our Golden Journey (private scattering). The family is escorted to the plane. One family member is carrying the cremated remains. After take off, and once we are over the release point, one of the family members releases the cremated remains by pulling the valve on our patented scattering device.
The cremated remains (ashes) are released into the air, allowing the currents of the wind to take them where they may. They are gently placed on a cushion of air to be guided by the winds on a final journey. Many of the ashes will descend to the Earth below, while others are set aloft, free to travel far and wide.
Every cool breeze that you feel can bring memories of your loved one, traveling with the winds, released to where there are no boundaries.
With Tanabe Flying Services, families may participate in the journey. Family and friends may gather at the airport to witness the airplane take off and start it's journey, and bring flowers (petals preferred) for us to scatter. Also, Tanabe Flying Services offers in-air witnessing of the scattering.
By scattering with an airplane you have the option of scattering over the land or the ocean. You may select from one of our most popular locations or pick one of your own.
